The GroundedWren Text Adventure Suite (GTAS) is lightweight, accessible software for creating and playing robust single-player text-based games.
Built from scratch using only fundamental web technologies, GTAS was designed from the ground-up for screen readers first, not as an afterthought. These are text games, after all.

Updates
The game logic is probably over half done now. What remains includes navigating dialog trees, combat, and levelling up - pretty big stuff.
While I'm finishing that up I've also added a comments feature to this page as a way to collect feedback from users. Hopefully it'll see some use at some point.
Work on this project may temporarily slow soon for the winter holidays. I'm committed to finishing it at least by the end of 2024, and hopefully much sooner.
